tickler system will inform HR staff when
an employee’s work authorization
expires, greatly aiding the monitoring
and tracking of expiration dates.

Employees
should be reminded 60 - 90 days prior to
the expiration of their current work
authorization that they will need to
produce evidence of renewed work
authorization or else be terminated as
required by federal regulations.

If
the renewed work authorization is good
for only a temporary period of time
(e.g. one year), the employer will have
to enter the new expiration date in the
ticker and conduct reverification again
prior to the expiration of that new
employment period.
